Blogging with Hugo
In the past I have tried to do some blogging with Wordpress, Drupal and other mostly php based content management systems. It worked, it was fun for a while but it never lasted.
For some time I had the idea of setting up a static site generator for this domain and use that as for blogging too. I’ve finally madd that, using a git repository behind this and Gitlab CI/CD to automatically build a new version of this site whenever I commit changes and push them to the remote repository.
The generator used is Hugo, a static site generator written in Go and has a lot of nice functions yet to be explored. Like writing posts in advance, very powerful templating and layouts.
This is still an experiment though, there is not too much of a plan for the site, only lots of ideas.
