From AWS to GCP

For some time I had hosted this static generated website on a AWS S3 bucket with CloudFront in front of it to provide https (and make sure the site is served super fast).

I always had this itching idea to see if it would also be possible to use Google Cloud Platform’s Cloud Storage to do the same…

Yesterday I sat out to make it work. And because DNS was already managed by CloudFlare, there was no vendor lock in on Route53 and as soon as the buckets were created in GCP, it was a matter of updating the DNS records and 🚀!
